Overview

Daisy is a national smart space installation and services company that simplifies smart home and office technology to make it work optimally, solving one of the biggest in-home problems today and bringing more joy into the lives of our clients.

As we expand, were seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to support our financial operations and help us scale efficiently. This position will report to the Senior Accounting Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintain accurate and timely records of accounts payable, accounts receivable , and general ledger entries .
  2. Timely customer invoicing and oversee collections .
  3. Manage vendor and credit card payments .
  4. Reconcile bank, credit card , and merchant accounts monthly.
  5. Prepare and review monthly financial statements , job cost reports , and cash flow forecasts .
  6. Monitor inventory , COGS , and project profitability .
  7. Support accurate and compliant revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, based on project milestones and service delivery.
  8. Track deferred revenue and ensure proper timing of income recognition for multi-phase installations.
  9. Manage 1099 Tax Filings.
  10. Ensure systems are aligned and reconciled between QuickBooks Online , NetSuite , and project management tools.
  11. Coordinate with leadership to manage budgeting and forecasting .
  12. Ensure proper sales tax tracking and filing for multiple jurisdictions.
  13. Support inventory and cost of goods sold tracking.
  14. Ensure integration and accuracy across QuickBooks Online , NetSuite , and CRM/inventory systems.
  15. Support the local San Carlos branch with office administration tasks.

Qualifications

  1. 3+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in a service-based or technology/installation business.
  2. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required.
  3. Experience with NetSuite is highly preferred.
  4. Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles .
  5. Familiarity with job costing , inventory, and project-based accounting.
  6. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  7. Proficient in Excel and other cloud-based tools (Google Workspace, Dropbox, etc.).
  8. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  9. Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Work Environment & Expectations

  1. This is a hybrid role based in San Carlos, CA .
  2. In-office presence required 3 days per week for collaboration, vendor coordination, and documentation management.
  3. Remaining time can be remote/flexible.
