Job Description The Commercial Manager implements and drives common business processes across the BG to improve account strateites, profit margins and enable profitable growth. Aligning the commercial agenda and driving a strong interaction between Sales & Marketing, sites, Supply Chain, Finance and other functions (GKA etc.) based on consistent and simplified processes is critical to move towards Commercial Excellence. This focus on driving commercial discipline and site accountability for commercial agenda will result in the identification of new opportunities and support the business in their profitable growth agenda.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Value Plus / Commercial:
Facilitate adoption of key enabling tools - VOC, PMDB, SFDC & other critical sales tools
Model the way for key capabilities by engaging with leadership to drive ValuePlus adoption and demonstration
Work with commercial teams to drive accountability for their commercial agenda and roll out best practices
Support the commercial team in identification of commercial actions that create profitable growth and are aligned with the customer needs
Contribute to or lead development of commercial strategies to maintain/grow accounts profitably in line with BG strategy
Support and guide sales and plant profit teams to the best commercial initiatives
Own continuous tracking, validation and monitoring pipeline by plant and support timely execution of actions from a commercial / segment perspective
Project and process management:
Review all areas of commercial management with regards to definition, effectiveness and simplification/harmonization of business processes and implement these changes in collaboration with other team members and BGs
Close coordination and integration with marketing teams to drive improved analytical tools to drive efficiency and focus the business on critical areas
Support improved on-boarding, subject matter expert development and training strategy for commercial team members with focus on driving profitable growth
People Management & Organisation:
Support coaching and training of key team members on critical enabling tools and capabilities
Inspire & motivate teams to outperform
Ensure and coordinate effective information flow within the BG while developing a positive, engaged working environment
Provide training on Commercial ValuePlus competences

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
University degree in applied economics, business administration, finance, engineering or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales/Commercial/Controlling
Preferably strong knowledge of packaging business or related industries such as consumer goods or process industries
Strong ability and experience to manage in a cross-region environment

CompensationThe starting salary for this position is expected to be between $108,700 to $135,900; however, base pay offered may vary within the full salary range $108,700 to $163,100 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on national averages and a geographic differential may be applied based on work location. Position may also be eligible for Amcor's Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.
