Job Description

Event Staff Team Members are stationed at various posts throughout the building during events. The position entails greeting, directing guests through metal detectors or wand, scanning tickets, checking bags, answering guests’ questions and informing guests of show and facility rules to ensure the safety of the facility and guests. Essential Duties include greeting and directing customers through metal detectors and/or scanning customers with metal detection wands, performing searches of bags to eliminate restricted and unauthorized items, politely yet confidently informing customers of the event rules, verifying tickets and credentials for events and facility access, assisting patrons to their seats, allowing only valid ticket credentials into specific areas of the building while not permitting spirits to leave certain spaces, scanning tickets and/or providing wristbands or stamps when needed, assisting with crowd control efficiently and professionally inside and outside the venue, resolving problems and addressing complaints as they arise, contacting management as necessary, ensuring lost and found items are turned in to Guest Services and documented accordingly, interacting with T-Mobile Center guests, vendors, and employees in a courteous and professional manner including a guest services level of care, assisting with communicating guest and staff safety and emergency response procedures, being dependable and able to work scheduled shifts including extended or irregular hours such as nights, weekends, and holidays, and performing other directives and duties assigned by supervisor or management. Required qualifications include a minimum education level of High School Diploma or equivalency, customer service skills, ability to maintain effective working relationships, follow instructions, communicate effectively, remain flexible, demonstrate skills in customer relations, communications, problem solving, ability to recollect and quickly retrieve relevant information, maintain confidentiality, maneuver around venue including walking, sitting, standing for extended periods, ability to see, bend, grasp, move and lift materials up to 20 lbs, occasional exposure to adverse conditions, and ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
