Position Title: Extrusion Operator

Wage: $17.10-$19.10/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 7am-3pm

Extrusion Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and production orders to perform required tasks such as tasks to set up, load materials, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, clean, and complete preventive maintenance on assigned machines
- Set up and operate single or multiple production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
- Check machine output and identify any issues
- Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications
- Box tubes, fill out tags, inspect and gauge tubes
- Observe and assess tubes, communicate and recommend changes and adjustments
- Keep updated records on all machine information and activity, defective units, and final output
- Communicate with team members and support staff across shifts, to ensure continuous production of quality parts with minimal waste

Extrusion Operator Requirements:
- Able to attain forklift licensure
- Ability to build positive team relationships and achieve outcome-oriented objectives
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, setting priorities and managing time effectively
- Ability to work independently, managing job orders and deadlines while maintaining an awareness of other business dependencies
