ALCONIX Group has partnered with SOODE NEGANO Corporation to establish a joint venture in the United States named SOODE Kansas Corporation. Through this joint venture the goal is to manufacture lithium-ion battery materials, addressing the growing demand in the electric vehicle sector. We are looking for someone to focus on developing processes, programs, and procedures as the corporation expands its footprint in the United States.

Position Summary

SOODE, KS is seeking an OSH Supervisor to implement and oversee occupation health and safety programs and initiatives to support production. You would play key role in the day-to-day operations in the production process and driving safety on the production floor. This individual must be able to manage and coach teams and drive company OHS Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). The Supervisor will work directly with production mangers, supervisors, safety champions, consultants, and vendors to maintain compliance and mitigate risk by implementing best practices within our integrated management system.

Essential Functions & Competencies

  • Maintain and improve Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
  • Collaborate closely with customer quality departments, providing timely and accurate data, reports, and feedback.
  • Assist in customer and regulatory audits, working alongside the Quality Manager.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures, identifying process improvements and standardization opportunities.
  • Investigate and determine root causes of quality issues; support corrective actions and preventive measures.
  • Monitor Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and Material Review Board (MRB) closure timelines, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Establish and enforce best practices in documentation, training, and compliance monitoring.
  • Support the implementation of paperless manufacturing and risk-based quality methodologies.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement action plans accordingly.
  • Provide periodic reports and insights on quality performance metrics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in an Occupational Health and Safety position or similar.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Safety Course (OSHA 1910)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to thrive in multi-national environments and communicate across diverse teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and adaptability in a start-up environment
  • Travel: Occasional domestic travel with up to 1 international trip per year.

Physical Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
